Frequently Asked Questions

Computer science is a 3-year journey that introduces you to different coding languages and skills (like web development, front-end coding and etc). Computer engineering is a four to five years journey. It is more advanced and developed, as it contains a variety of courses on robotics, hardware, and software. Note that computer engineering is also diverse and can include computer science engineering (more software-oriented) and computer and communications engineering (more hardware-oriented: development of wired or wireless networks. Basically, creating the connections that power devices). Both could get you similar opportunities (getting into cybersecurity or game development…), it depends on your efforts and your interest in the world of engineering.
